A day in the life of Kayla...

So last Friday Me, Cari, Brandon, C Aitlin and Ben (their friends) all went to New York City!! We woke up at 2 AM, got ready and left at 3 to go catch the bus at 4 AM!! We rode some big charter bus all the way to NY. When we got on we almost threw up!! The bus freakin reeked and it was full of nasty people who hadn't showered in years! haha! So there was barely and room for us so we all ahd to spread out..NONE of us couldl fall asleep for the whole 3 hours becuase it smelt soo bad! hahah! So we arrived at NY at 6:30 and we started out big adventure!! We got subway cards for the day so we rode around to places we wanted to go to. We walked around ALL DAY (for 13 hours!!) and then rode the bus home at 9 PM and got home around like 1ish. We got to see EVERYTHING!! since we were there for 13 hours we had plenty of time to see it all! We went to Time Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue, The Trump building, We saw break dancers (one of which kept telling me to call him and he was licking his lips pointing at me the whole time!! lol.) We also saw ground zero and we somewhat saw the Statue of Liberty! We also got to sneak into a Rob Thomas (he's a famous artist) concert..Caitlin sweet talked some cop to let us in! It was fun! We went and ate at this really neat restaurant called " Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde" And it was a themed restaurant. It had 4 stories and while you are waiting for you food you can go around and take pictures of all the cool stuff! There was this crazy "butler" named Gervis who kept coming up to me and he was like sticking his fingers in my ears, yelling at me and running up the stairs after me, and I asked him if he wantedone of my quesedillas and he thought I said do you want a kiss so he started sticking his tongue out at me, all up in my face and I was pushing as hard as I could to keep him away!! It was funny..he pulled his pokemon cards out to play with Brandon! haha. We also went down to China Town and barganed with the chinese!! They are so funny! They'll do ANYTHING for your money...I was a tough cookie to bargen with. I tried to get as much as I could for as little a possible! Is that bad? Hahaha!! So I bought some cute jewelry and some SWEET hot pink sun glasses! (as you can see in the picture) And I bought a designer purse off the streets from some man! It was so funny cause the whole time he kept looking around for cops so he was trying to make us hurry and buy one!! It really gets your adrenaline pumping!! Haha who woulda thought? Shopping!!! Lol. So I had an absolute blast and here are alot of the pictures..There is more on facebook if you want to look at those. So we went shopping yesterday at some outlet mall and i got some pretty sweet stuff! This dress is Ann Taylor Loft! I didn't feel like putting it on..but it's flowy and would look super cute with like a belt and matching accessories!!

These are some freakin sweet vans huh? I know your thinking soo 8O's! lol I have some brown ones but I want some cooler colored ones!
These are my freakin new kicks!! Aren't they totally awesome?!?!?! I got them at the Nike store and they were pretty dang cheap for Nike's! There so bright and amazing!!! I'll be running..with total style!!

So I didn't get this purse yesterday..but I got it a few days ago at Forever 21. I got rif of my only black purse cause it was looking a wee bit under the weather...So I found this one clearanced..It totally reminds me of like a biker/harley person cause it's got the like leather fringe hanging down! I'm so hardcore! hahah

Kami's Wedding!! <3

So this past Saturday my bestest friend Kami Wright got married in the Houston Temple!! It was so exciting but yet sad... She looked absolutely beautiful!! But it was sad cause we wouldn't be the crazy rommates that we use to be. But I was SOOO happy for her!! The reception was soo pretty and it was so much fun!

This is Kami's little niece Haley and for some reason she absolutely loves me! She'll always run up and hug me and sit in my lap for forever!!
This is Kara and Emilee. They were Brides maids...while I was the Maid of Honor! hahaha...Just wanted to throw that out there! ;)
So Kami's colors were pink and green, so there were two pinks brides maids..and me and Kara were the two greens! We all got to wear flowers in out hair too!

So Kami, Casey (her husband) and I use to go to dances together in Utah, so it was just like old times dancing together at the reception. Once we started dancing all the millions of little nieces and nephews came and danced with us too. This is Jay, Damon and Jodi's son, and he kept coming up to me telling me to dance with him! It was a blast cause normally no one dances at receptions.

My Birthday Extravaganza..

It all started...19 years ago a beautiful baby girl was born...bahahhaha!! Alright alright! So yesterday was my birthday...(thanks for all the birthday wishes!!) So my mother made my faaavorite poppey seed muffins! So delicious!

And we went to the mall and this was my beautiful present!! We got it from Kay Jewelrs and it's a purple amathesis ring. I fell in love with is as soon as i saw it!!

Then we went and got lunch at Quizno's and then we went to chick-fil-a and got shake's! I ate the top off before I realized I should take a picture..But my mom came back and said I didn't even tell them it was your bithday! And i had a TON of whipped cream and 3 cherries on top..her's was a little baby shake with ONE cherry! haha yay me!! lol

So then my family and my best friend heather went out to eat at Cafe Del Rio's and it was SO yummy!

They sang to me and brought me ice cream with strawberries! My faaavorite!

I got to ride a little horsey! haha not reallly!!

Then we went home and had cake! My faovirte! Strawberry cake with strawberry icing!

They were serenading me!

TEXAS!! Crawfish Boil

HELLO!! It's been a while since i've blogged..i know i've been busy!! But hopefully i'll be able to start back up again for all my fans out there!! Well actually just Caroline. Lol. But I went with Kelly to a friend's crawfish boil and it was so much fun!! We ate SOO much!!! I'm so glad i'm from the south and we get to do fun stuff like this!!

And that red plate thingy was FULL of crawfish and we ate it all!! The garbage bag and the other plate are full of all the crawfish we ate. It's SOO much work to tear them apart for just this tiny little bit of meat..i finally got tired of pulling them apart, not becuase i was full. I don't know if it's possible to get full off crawfish!!

But just a quick update. Things are going well in Provo. The Snow is melting. It's still prett freezing but bearable. I got a job at a Western Store, Kelly copied ME. I am going to school tuesdays and thursdays...waking up at 4:30 to catch the bus and getting home around 6:30. Oh and I work ALLLLLL the time. It's actually kinda annoying. Umm I think thats the biggest update i've got goin on...
